DeWitt has over 30 years of experience working with high net worth families, business owners and professional athletes. His extensive investment background, deep faith and experience as a professional athlete lend him a unique perspective when providing wealth counsel to clients.
DeWitt is the Founder, President, and CEO of Weaver Capital Management. He has been providing wealth counsel to high-net-worth families, business owners, and professional athletes for over 30 years.
He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, a member of the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), and holds a Series 65 License. DeWitt is also a Certified Kingdom Advisor®, specializing in applying biblical wisdom to financial planning.
As the firm's Lead Portfolio Manager, DeWitt offers independent, client-centered investment counsel with a strong focus on stewardship and risk-management. His experience managing Fisherman Fund LP, a fund of hedge funds, gave him a deep understanding of portfolio risk expertise he has successfully applied to Weaver Capital's offerings. There, he incorporates advanced investment strategies, typically used in alternative investments, into traditional brokerage accounts, while ensuring full transparency, daily liquidity, and asset custody with reputable custodians for complete access. He also brings over 30 years of expertise in income and estate tax planning as part of his comprehensive financial approach.
DeWitt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, graduating Cum Laude while attending on a golf scholarship. Before founding the firm, he spent seven years pursuing a professional golf career, winning multiple events, including the 1988 Georgia State Open. His father, the late DeWitt T. Weaver Jr., was a Hall-of-Fame professional golfer.
Outside of the office, DeWitt remains passionate about golf, regularly playing at various clubs and occasionally competing in state and national amateur events. He currently serves as Chairman of the Atlanta Athletic Club's Junior Golf Foundation, supporting the development of young golfers. He served as a deacon at Johns Creek Baptist Church and is currently a member of Lake Oconee Church. DeWitt lives in Suwanee, GA with his wife, Michele, and is the proud father of four grown children.
